Terence....The children of Thomas and Mary were all Christened St Cuthberts Durham....I would suggest Mary's name was originally " Gilligan/"..some of the Baptisms have her transcribed as Lulligan..!!

Hi,am looking for help regarding above families.There is a marriage certificate in the family which says Thomas Hardy,22 married Mary Gilgan,19,at St.Giles Church
Durham, 21/02/1853 and they were both residents of Gilesgate.Thomas was born
Co.Durham and we think was a Joiner.Mary was born Sligo,Ireland.Thomas's father is given as Peter Hardy,Pitman,and Mary's father is given as Brian Gilgan,Gardener,also b.Ireland.Unfortunately we have no proven information of any of them before this date.Can anyone help,please,
