Thanks Anne, any info you can find would be so helpful, my background is English and Irish and I have kinda given up on it, I went to Killarney a few years ago and the priest went thro the records and I got some siblings of my Grandmother, I didnt even know if they married in England or Ireland at least I found out about that.

There are some actual records available on Ancestry such as the births/baptisms in Ontario for the children of the Calder/Kissock marriage.

I can also view the marriage cert for this couple and I'm pretty sure that Eliza Kissock's mother was Mary Ann LESLIE rather than Peslie.

If I get time over the next day or two, I will save as many actual docs as I can find and send them by PM.

I forgot to mention this which may or may not be relevant.....
I also have Irish Kissocks in my tree.
When I searched for info, (in a similar time period to Eliza) I noticed that the vast majority of Kissock/Kissack/Kissicks ect were fron Co Antrim, around the Ballymena area. Mine were no exception!

Thats amazing GL, so it was the great grandfather who was born here, i am going to Mitchell Library next week so i will look at OPR, you have been such a help im just learning, it is such a help to be able to ask for help on this board, i cant thank you enough.

However, Donald snr... based on the naming pattern of his children with Eliza Kissock, he was easy to locate in Scotland.
Born in Petty, Inverness on 17 Jan 1834 to Donald Calder amd Margaret MacIntosh.
