I think you'll find, Ann, that there is no way nowadays to remove the tag.

Does he have his adoption file?

Have you done anything about checking birth registration info?

Gary

Gary Report 19 Jul 2013 10:55

This is actually my adopted brother's mother so will have to contat him. He is out of the country at present so could take some time.

Go to freebmd and find the birth registration..........................and post the info on here

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/

The info you give must have come from the birth cert................how did you have access to it?

What is your connection?

Gary

Gary Report 19 Jul 2013 09:52

Sorry about marking as 'answered' but I am new to this part of the site. I do know that the birth was registered in Hammersmith. All the info I have was gathered many years ago and I was not as organised then, but any help would be appreciated.

Now that you have 'marked as answered' it will be assumed that no further help is required.

No birth even on FMP to match your info..................

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 19 Jul 2013 09:02

Presumably, the info you have is from the birth cert?

Are there any other details which may prove useful?

Who registered the birth?

I can't see a birth registered for an Anthony Rogers in 1943-44, at least not with MMN Rogers also? Or was his surname different?

Yes, I believe it was digs. I have obtained the list of occupants in 1947 and there were 7 listed.

I was going to suggest you check out the address before and after the war (no registers available during WW2) in case other family members were living there, but it might well have been accommodation specifically for theatre staff:

Hi there Gary - welcome to the boards

might be better to post on Find Living Relatives - also, the likelihood of anyone having any knowledge of Phyllis seeing your posting is very remote - use the "Search" facility top right hand corner to see if she features in any trees on this site - if you strike lucky you can contact the tree owner through the site

I am trying to trace anyone who may know anything about a Phylis Rogers who in 1943 was living at 15 Girdlers Road, Brook Green, London W6 and was a dancer. What type of dancer I do not know but she did give birth to a boy Anthony in November 1943. This is about as much as I know about her, so any info would be helpful
