There is this one?

Master's Name: Valentine Hoyle of Dover Tallow Chandler
Apprentice Name: Edwd Rammell
Residence Location: Dover
Payment Date: 12 Jul 1758

Edit

Traditionally tallow chandlers operated separately from wax chandlers: beeswax candles customarily being used in churches and noble houses, while tallow (animal fat) candles were generally used in other homes.

could it be that you have another Rammell thread on the go? just wondering - still no need to report it though

Possibly AC.....but I do think, if that is the case, it is a bit extreme! Surely, a friendly post pointing this out would have been more appropriate! At the end of the day, I'm sure the GR reviewing Team have better things to do with their day..... :-)

true - rather than report it, the person should have just pointed out - one thread per family

Hi All

I was requesting specific lookups on Ancestry that I had done myself but as I no longer have access was asking if some kind person would supply the info, which you all have, thanks!

So cannot understand the problem??!

Regards,

Gillian

One GR member has a major problem...............some sort of fixation about threads which mention Ancestry.

We can only hope that GR will one day deal with this member appropriately...........
