Find Ancestors

I am trying to find the death record of Elizabeth Bailey born 1874 Burton, Derbyshire, married Ernest Mowbray, my grandfather, (1865-1943) in 1910 at Havant, Hampshire, his second marriage.
I can not find a death record as Elizabeth Mowbray, possibly she re-married, so had a different surname after 1943.
If anyone could assist, I would appreciate it.

Ah so she was still alive when Ernest died

yes, still alive in 1943, was the informant on death cert fir Ernest in Sussex.
She was then 68/69. Can't find a death record for her as Mowbray or Bailey.

Have you tried to trace any of the children to see if they stayed in the area

Its possible too that as Ernest died in 1943 in the midst of WW2 she still may have moved from the area.

No children that I know of with Elizabeth and Ernest.

I have all the info on Ernest and first wife Gertrude's children,Helen, Ernest, Sybil,

Hilton, Cyril( my father). No, none stayed in the area.

Ernest was not Ernest G, so no to a Dorothy.

Yes, could have moved from Sussex, where husband, Ernest died.
