It's been a while since I ordered one i'll give it a go that if my laptop lets me the message has come up twice and won't let me delete one

Yes you can . If he is under 50 you may need all his info ie actual birth date parents names etc.

It's best to order it from

www.gro.gov.uk.

FInd the GRO ref and use that too when ordering .

Could some kind person tell me if I can buy a birth certificate online for someone still alive ,
I've bought for ancestors but this one is a replacement for my husband, if so could you give me the address please
