hi I wonder if anyone could help, im trying to research my husbands family, ive got his grandmothers marriage certificate , Kathleen Hargreaves c1922 married Frederick Harrison c1915 in march 1946 in st marys roman catholic church park lane rothwell leeds. im struggling getting further back. I think ive found kathleens farther walter on the 1911 censes living at butcher lane rothwell ( the address of Kathleen on the marriage certificate was 36 butcher street ) but how can I be sure ? walters occupation was colliery boiler fireman and I cant fined anything further back. Frederick harrisons farther was a walter Harrison I cant read his profession I can only read workman. fredericks address was 2 windmill street rothwell in 1946 he was also a sergeant in the west yorks regiment no. 4544968. the witnesses are john willie Harrison and mary Harrison, maybe a brother ?

Hello Danny, have you tried to find Kathleen's birth and then a possible marriage for Walter Hargreaves to someone with her mother's maiden name from the birth record?

Do you know of any siblings that Kathleen may have had?

If Kathleen's parents marriage can be located then you can buy that certificate to work back with accuracy.

ive had a look fore a birth and siblings but cant find anything solid , a possible mothers name could be coleman but I have no idea and no idea about siblings , sorry
