So what connection does that baptism have with someone who says in 1911 that he was born in Birmingham in 1881?

Laura

You haven't answered my question.................

1911 says he was born c1881 in BIRMIMGHAM

What connection does that have to someone born in 1878 in West Yorkshire?

Do you have any documentary proof that the man who married in 1902 is the one whose family you've latched on to in Yorkshire?

Please don't be so blinkered about this..........................

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 30 Jul 2013 15:57

Potty............

Thank goodness........................an 1881 census record which tallies with 1911

Reggie i appreciate your help but can not speak to me like that please. In future I will not leave messages on this board if people like you are going to be rude.

Potty

Potty Report 30 Jul 2013 16:14

Laura, Reggie doesn't mean to be rude - he is just trying to get you to answer his question, which is a very valid one! Do you have William and Rose's marriage cert to confirm his father's name? If you don't, then you really need to get it. Many of us have gone down a wrong line because we didn't get the necessary certs and there do seem to be two possible William Crabtrees, both with parents Joseph and Sarah.

Edit 16:32: that should be both with father's Joseph.

In case you do have the birth and death certs, the Joseph in the 1881 that I posted is a gun maker.

Potty

Potty Report 30 Jul 2013 16:19

As you have William's exact DOB, do you have his birth cert? If so, what is his MMN, please. That should help to find out which William he is.

I'm trying to get you to be a bit more open-minded, Laura.

You seem to have got fixated on this family in Yorkshire................and I can't see why

In trying to help you, I've asked you questions, which you have ignored....................that, in my book, constitutes rudeness, but I didn't chastise you about it.

Perhaps I should have done.................

Potty.............

The DOB is taken from the baptism record in WYKE..............near Bradford, W Yorks.

Laura does not, as far as I can deduce, have any certs for any event
