Mr G Mead age 16 born @ 1886/7 travelled to Natal on the ship Trent on 6/8/1902 looks as though he could have been a Railway Clerk as the person sated above him on the ships record.

I wonder if he then became a fitter and then an engineer on the railways.

When he went to Canada 6/10/1924 it gives his wife's address and the address of where he is staying in Canada but I can't read it.

Now I AM really confused....

UK - outgoing passengers

Name: George Mead
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Birth Date: abt 1890
Departure Date: 11 Oct 1924
Port of Departure: Southampton, England
Destination Port: Quebec, Canada
Ship Name: Empress of Scotland
Search Ship Database: Search the 'Empress of Scotland' in the 'Passenger Ships and Images' database
Shipping Line: Canadian Pacific Railway
Official Number: 144376
Master: J Gillies

This one is too young and is a farmer....address he gives is 2 Acre Road Truro

This is the 30A form -

Name: George Henry Mead
Gender: Male
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1888
Birth Place: Truro, England
Age: 36
Date of Arrival: 18 Oct 1924

One assumes it is the same one who departed two weeks earlier - 2 Acre Road Truro is the address of his wife...but now he is an ENGINEER!!!!!!

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-S

Dea...yes as far as it is possible to enjoy ...I do/did. My dad has had a slight stroke. He is very lucky just a loss of peripheral vision in his right eye. Coming on top of my mum's death last Christmas it was a worry but - fingers crossed - he'll be home this week :-)
