Thanks for all your help, I think the John Raith above was born much later. I think John and Sarah married in 1799 but no parents names given.

The john in 1851 census could be him as it is in 1841 census, I think he may have also died in 1851. The only thing that makes me think it may not be him in 1851 census is that he was born Maidstone whereas my john was born Faversham, but a real coincidence if not. I will keep all this info in my file and will continue digging to find John Wraight/es born between 1776 and 1781 to find correct birth year to be sure it is 1776 not 1781 as in census. it is definitely him in the 1841 census but not sure his birth year is accurate as could be rounded down. I have found a john wraight 1776 born to Thomas wraight and ann wraight who married 1769 but nothing (no parents) for john 1781

Anyone know how many John Wraight/es were born/christened between 1776 and 1781 around Faversham area in Kent?

I'm trying to find the correct birth year of John Wraight from 1841 census who married Sarah Brown, census states 1781 for John and sarah, but I know sarah was christened in 1777. No other info found for 1781 for John other than census. Maybe age rounded down from 64 (1776) to 60 (1781) on census as that's only other one between 1776 and 1841 I can find, anyone able to find any more, I would be very grateful, as I can't look for his parents unless I have the correct birth year, thanks, Jane
