Parents of Nathaniel Whewell b about 1745 I cannot find Nathaniel's parents.I can't find anyone before 1745 . I've no info re. his parents and wonder if any one can suggest anything.
First wife was Elizabeth Riley m.1769 at St. James Church kirk( from whom we descend) and later to .Jane Duckworth at St Mary the Virgin, Blackburn 1776( the same year his first wife died.)
Nathaniel and Elizabeth had a son James (C1771) wife Grace (Bouker?)
His son,James had sons John1796, Nathaniel,James, William and daughters Anne,Ellen,Grace all born Oswaldtwistle ,Lancashire.(john's wife was Dorothy Clegg)
John (1796) was father to James (!837) wife Catherine GRUNSHAW
James (1837) was father to John (1865) -my grandfather (wife Elizabeth Townley)
John (1865) was father to William (1912)-my father (wife Elizabeth Davidson TUke)
Whewell, Grunshaw and Tuke are all a bit peculiar and spellings vary but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you to all including Catherine and Reggie who helped in my search.
The only info I have regarding Nathaniel's birth in1745 I got from Marjorie and Doug Williams family history . and I am sorry to say that Marjorie who was very kind and helpful died about 2 years ago.,but the family tree info. is still on Google I think.
I tried LDS but wasn't successful. I can't seem to find my way around there since it was "updated".
