Thanks, so I am looking at 1781-1786, which narrows it down a little further! thanks, no actually I think it would be 1777-1781, if he was aged 60 in census, he could have been 60-64yrs at time of census

Can't really help with what you are looking for but just wanted to say that ages for adults in the 1841 census were rounded DOWN to the nearest 5 years.

Anyone showing an age of 20 could be anything up to 24.
Anyone showing an age of 25 could be anything up to 29 and so on.

I am trying to find the correct birth year for John Wraight? born somewhere between 1776-1786 in Faversham, Kent, then I need to look for his parents, brothers/sisters. The only 2 possibilities I have found for John (born between 1776-1786) are: 2 Johns born to Thomas Wraight and Ann Chittenden in 1776 and 1784, and John born to Robert Wraight and Elizabeth Turner in 1778. I know my John married Sarah Brown in 1799 at St Mary Church of charity, Faversham. They had 5 children: Winford Brown Wraight 1800-1801, John 1801-?1861, George 1806, Thomas 1805-?1845, Winford Brown Wraight 1816-1871. He was living in Faversham West St in 1841 census which states his birth yr as 1781 in Faversham but age could be rounded up or down to nearest 10 years, so in theory could be anywhere between 1776-1786, also I Can't find anything on John 1781 apart from census. He may have died 1851 as found a John Wraight buried same church as he married in and I think this John died in West st Faversham. Can anyone help me find John Wraight's (1776-1786) birth year and parents? Thanks, Jane :-S
