It is a real shame I can't find Betty in 1851 - would confirm her birthplace to then look for her parents etc!

Hi there, thank you so much for this help. Hannah Lever (nee Monkhouse) is my direct ancestor, through a son Michael Lever, born 1853.

On another NOTE, I wonder if the ages of Hannah and Jane MONKHOUSE shown in the 1841, were merely incorrectly recorded?

What do you think? I have ASSUMED that but wonder if I need to investigate further?

There are also recorrds of several children with parents Michael and Betty Monkhouse, in Little Bolton, different parish

There are even a Jane and a Hannah ................. but this Hannah was baptised in 1821, and the Jane in 1828 ............. so older than the Hannah and Jane on the 1841 Census.

Looking for my ancestor Betty/Elizabeth Monkhouse in the 1851 census - I know all about her marriage which took place in 1803 in Bolton to Michael Monkhouse (her maiden name was Hurst). All I am looking is Betty in 1851 (for her birthplace) and any information on her birth.

She didn't die until 1860 and I have searched but can't see her.
