Don't know if they were in the same house or it could be divided into flats/bedsits.

The occupants were exactly the same in 1959 & 1960. By 1962 Donald & Doris Roberts had gone and were replaced by Esther and Kenneth White.

He was living in Downs Road in Clapton with my Grandmother Phyllis at the end of the 1930's - before that they were in Hexham Northumberland.
They were never divorced. My Grandmother died 1981 in Colchester.
From the "marriage" certificate 18th January 1941 - he goes under the name of Andrew Farrell and describes himself as a "bachelor" - he "married" Edith.
Both his bigamous marriages are registered - I have both certificates.
Can tell me where Leathenhall Road was situated?

Also, do you actually have his marriage certificates or registrations for the bigamous marriages, I just can't see them being registered - are you sure he didn't just live with these women?

At a guess, your grandmother died in Colchester.

A quick search on Ancestry has him living with Phyllis Ferrol 1928/29 at 28 Downs Road - is this your grandmother? And did she die before he reused his real name - I'm assuming they never divorced?

I'm only asking because if he used an assumed name it would be between these dates, and I haven't looked for that yet. Could you give me the first name of the 1941 "wife" please.

He appears to be living at 73 Leathenhall road 1959-62, with Elizabeth Freeman, plus Doris & Donald Roberts (59/60) then Elizabeth Freeman, Esther & Kenneth White (61/62). He then moves to 6a West View Close (Brent) and is with Doreen F Ferrol until his death in 1965.

If your grandmother died before he moved in with Doreen that marriage was not bigamous.

Last address found dated 30th November 1945 - 63 Acacia Avenue,Rainham Road,Romford, Essex.
His address from his last " marriage" certificate dated 14th August 1962 until his death certificate dated 3rd August 1965 is 6a, West View Close,London.NW10.

Thank you. I have two bigamous marriages up to now. One was in 1941 -the second in 1962. He could have been living with any number of women between those dates!
Hackney is a good bet - he did work for Grey Green Coaches at some time after WW2 - based in Stamford Hill near Hackney.
He has been quite elusive so far!

They would be at the library nearest to the address

But not searchable by name and you would need the address

None taken during WW2

Does anyone have access to electoral registers between 1942 and 1962? This would be for Romford Essex - probably! I am trying to pin down the whereabouts of my bigamous grandfather betwwen these years. Name - Andrew Ferrol - possibly also using the surname Farrell. He has been quite elusive to pin down.
