Hello Jane, even if you don't have an Ancestry membership you can still search and view public Ancestry trees on their spin-off site Mundia http://www.mundia.com/gb/

You have to register but it's free. Once you've signed up just go to the "Find People" part on the menu.

Looking for information about William Mitchell born 1825, married to Sarah Jane Eastgate, England.. ON THE PUBLIC FREE TREES. Looking to find out if there is Joseph Mitchell, born about 1866, England,married to Georgina MOORE and have son called William born about 1890, Dublin, died, 1921 DUBLIN AND MARRIED TO Alice MAUD Foreman 1920.
