Looking for information on Rose Maud Hill from East End/Barking area.
She was my father, Henry Leonard (Len) Usher's first wife. He married her before 1933 as she died that year.

Is that your tree on Ancestry that has her death date as 1933? Such a shame to post the wrong info on an online tree. People tend to copy. It was very easy to confirm the date on FreeBMD.

Thanks for your replies. I was told by my late mother that Rose died in 1933. As I have not been able to find anything about her, I posted here. I didn't know my father was previously married until after his death.
Have checked on freeBMD and could only find a possible match for her birth.
I'd like to know how you found her dod Margee.

You could also have easily found the marriage.. on the same site, although Helen posted from one of the subscription sites.

I deliberately didn't post either - to allow to find them for yourself, which is much the best way.

When Rose Maud died she left an estate of 216 pounds, 9 shillings. Probate was granted to her husband Henry Leonard Usher, clerk, London Port Authority.

Guess I'm doing something wrong, I can find her birth but not marriage or death.
I agree it's nice to find things for yourself but when you can't you seek a little help!

Perhaps you're putting in too much info. Click on Deaths. Surname Usher, first name Rose M. Two come up, one in 1935.

Likewise for marriage type in Hill, Rose M. married to Usher.

Found, thank you very much. I was putting Rose Maud which obviously was too munch info. It's never too late to learn!

May I ask how you obtained this information. Was it a web site?
