Various US Federal Censuses show lots and lots of Lyons living in Salt Lake City.
We need some specific names, please.

Re Whiston, here's a Lyon who went to USA. He's a cable maker, and h is father was William Lyon, of Whiston Cross. Is he one of yours?

Keith - go to "search" top right of this page and click on it. Then click on "Search member trees". input Lyon, Whiston, Lancs and you will be shown a list of all the people who have Lyons from Whiston in their tree, with the first names of the Lyons and year of birth. You can then contact the person - don't use any automated message, send one of your own explaing who you think you have in common and asking to share info if possible.

You can repeat the exercise with the Utah details
