Thank you Thelma for the advice, I have found 2 out of 3 missing Boulton children on my wife's parental 1911 census but no more Fields on her maternal line. Its a result, as this post has helped me find 4 family who had been forgotten.

Do not tick references known.Proceed to next page/s and you can order those with parents William and Harriet. Might have to do it one at a time but you will get a refund if wrong.

Sorry for the error at the start of my post Harriet was born 1863 passed away 9/9/1934.

Brilliant work from Thelma thank you very much, I am very impressed. Initial thoughts 2 out of 9 found.

Frederick John is the interesting christening. He is my wife's grandfather, I have a 1905 copy of his 1891 birth certificate. He became a lay preacher, and this suggests he may have been christened at 16? Also no record of death before 1911 census to back up my theory as he died 1950.

I'll try looking at the 51 remaining with the England, Select Births and Christenings, 1538-1975 which seems to be how the above were found. If anyone finds any more please add to thread. :-)

According to that 1911 census she was born 1863.

Did she really marry at age 46 and then have 16 children ?

Did the family live in the same area from 1883 to 1911? West Midlands BMD site shows the sub district for births - if you have a birth cert for one of the children you could check births registered in the sub-district but the only way to prove they are the right births would be to buy the certs.

My wife's great grandmother Harriet (Love) Field (b 1863 (corrected) m 1883) had 16 children stated in the 1911 census, with 9 children who had died.

All her living children were born and registered in West Bromwich. There is no record in 1891 or 1901 census of the missing nine. between 1883 and 1911. I have searched and filtered it down to 53 young Field chidren who were registered died in the area with surname Field. I think this is where I stop? Any ideas how to find mothers registered as Love for the 53 without costing me £500? The Sandwell Archieve may help? but anyone have any other tips
