As he was medicaly discharged its' a possibility that he was having further treatment in Hospital or convalescence

Evangeline ..................

it would really help if you did NOT continually start new threads asking about the same person

It means that we are all running around finding much the same information that was found last year, before moving on to see if we can find anything else.

If you look in My Threads, in the box headed Tools to the left of your screen, then you can resurrect the earlier thread(s) ............ and we will all be able to see what has already been found for you.

In fact, GR's own Terms and Conditions do say that there should not be more than 1 thread on a single person.

One question

Why was he discharged on the 28th June 1916???

He was still young

The war was still on

Soldiers were not discharged easily at that time

Is a reason given for his discharge???

If he was discharged as being unfit for service due to wounds ................. then he could have spent some time in hospital.

My grand father William Enis Lawrence was discharged from the army on the 28th June 1916 in Leamington Spa Warwickshire, at the time of discharge he was serving with the 44th Reserve Battery of the Royal Field Artillery.

He met my grandmother c1919, who at the time was living in Ashow Village in Warwickshire.
They moved to Exeter c 1920 where he worked as a porter on the railway

I am trying to find out where he was living between 1916 and 1919.

I have records of his employment on the railways from 1920.
