Would really like to get in touch with anyone who is researching the MANSER surname.
Thank you,
Mike Armiger in Australia

The easiest way is for you to contact anyone on here who has Mansers in their trees.

A quick search does not show many (from Burwash specifically), unfortunately you are not one of them.

Perhaps you could enter the Manser/Burwash names in your tree to make it easier for others to contact you at any time in the future, also.

Thank you, patchem,I've started to contact members who have Manser in their trees around that date.

Mike, if you want to give a specific area of your research that you'd like some help with then people could take a look.

If you limit yourself by a specific location, you may not get very far

Only ONE Manser on 1911 census was born in Burwash

Whereas, per 1911 census, there were large numbers born in Sussex as a whole.

Hi all,
Thank you for replying.
I'm afraid Peter has made the classic mistake that,I'm sure,we've all made when researching our ancestors in England! He looked at FreeReg and put in William Manser c1793 born in Sussex and only 1 result came up,the William born in Burwash around that time,so he assumed that this must be his ancestor not knowing that most of the other Sussex parishes haven't,as yet, been transcribed. So I've now got his William's details from him and am now contacting all the Manser researchers on here hoping that someone has his Wm in their tree. These are the details:-
William Manser born c1796,Sussex,married Sarah (Sally) Crowhurst born c1796,Sussex,on 28/4/1818,Sussex,Wm died 13/1/1873,Australia and Sarah died 2/10/1860,Australia.
Emigrated on the "Duchess of Northumberland" and arrived in Oz in dec,1839,with various children of theirs, details can be supplied.
Does this connect with your Mansers at all?
Regards,
Mike in Adelaide

There seems to be a lot of people that have William Manser 1796 Sussex in their tree....although not seeing him in yours :-S

Unlikely that anyone researching them will come across this post in the near future, so as mentioned you need to try to contact them by private message

I'm doing that,jax :-)

Mike,

Who is Peter?

The people who have replied on here are all helpers and do not have Mansers in their trees - so we have no connection, we are just trying to help.
