I'm at a deadend with this. Trying to find the father of Alexander Bond. Alexander is listed in 1841census as living with his mother Mary in Drury Lane, The Strand, Middlesex,UK. Alexander's mother Mary was born in Barnstaple England 1798. No mention of the father in that census. Can anyone help. Thanks.

1841 census has him as Alex; living with mother and sister - Mary, 14. Mother not born in county.

A tree on Ancestry has an Alexander as a brushmaker, married to Charlotte Julia Steel. Is this your Alexander?

Yea, I cannot find Alexanders marriage certificate either. He' in a census as married to Charlotte Steele. However I dont know where or when.

Yes. Alexander was a brushmaker. He died in St Pancras workhouse 1902.

if you aren't the person who corrected the name in the 1881 census at Ancestry, or don't already know that person, it could be worth contacting them to see whether they know anything further about the Bonds.
