NB The Canadian census nominal day was within a day of the UK's 1871-1901 and was in June 1906-1921.
I don't know when 1851 was, but this enumeration was completed by Oct 1851.
1861 varied by colony - it was 15/8/1861 in NB.

A word of caution though. An ancestral file on familysearch has this so Adam mentioned above married Mary Beatty according to this.
This has not been substantiated though.
