I don't know if this is the correct place for this, but i don't know who the WDYTYA live thread works...anyway..

Looking for more info on one of Reggies ancestors which was on the show.

George William Yates b 1870 from what i can tell.

They said that they could not go back any further!!?? what about the 1870 census et al.

Just to add the WDYTYA live thread is to do with the WDYTYA show staged in London, Febraury each year normally ....no you cannot add to it and it should be removed really....but that has'nt happened as yet

which certainly matches with the baptism record posted above with parents' names and so with the earlier censuses posted

wouldn't it be fairly easy for anyone wanting to research further back to get that certificate? and compare the info with what is on the 1900 marriage certificate?

George William Yates had 3 siblings, Mahala Alice Yates, Edmund Wren Yates and Charles Alfred Yates, the latter being my grandfather. He had 5 children with Edith Amy Daley, Ronald Charles Yates, Philip Albert Daley Yates (died when 10), Eric William Yates (my father), his twin Ernest Albert Yates and Kenneth Arthur Yates (all now deceased).
