Malyon/Greyghost

Thanks for the census which i have.

Still trying to locate any sort of record for William Gough which confirms his Dob and parents names.

You might have the census, but we don't, so by posting it, helpers can see that he wasn't born in the "West Indies" which covers a number of islands and a large area, but appears to be St Vincent in particular, which may give a clue as to where to look for records.

You won't find parents names on pre Sept Qtr 1837 English marriage records unless a witness is a parent, but unfortunately you can't know that for sure.

Likewise, even if you find a baptismal record, you will have the baptism date, but it was only sometimes that a dob was written in as a note (English records).

I would say that members have tried to help but have been unable to pinpoint anything.

You might google to see what records are held for ST Vincent and it may be that you have to write to them if nothing is actually online.
