If it is the same Edwin, and age seems right, then I wondered why the marriage took place in London, and if the family might have been there for part of the time between Rebecca's death and the 1871 census?

Looks right, in this census 1871 Edwin is with an Emma, and his birthplace is given as Bradmore, Northants. Emma is born irchester, so why marry in London?

1871 England, Wales & Scotland census
Park Farm, West, Wing, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England

Edwin Attenborough Head - Male 35 1836 - Northamptonshire, England
Emma Attenborough Wife - Female 31 1840 - Northamptonshire, England
Mary Ann Hedges Servant - Female 20 1851 - Buckinghamshire, England
Alfred Alcock Servant - Male 16 1855 - Buckinghamshire, England

Hi Kucinta,

Yes it's the right Edwin and according to later census Emma was born in Northamptonshire so maybe they did move to London for a while. I'm also looking for the marriage of Edwin's brother William born 1828 Bradmore to a Laura Lascelles sometime between 1861 and 1866 when there first child William was born in Northampton.

(The 1861 Census of Irchester is ‘missing’ and is therefore, unfortunately, omitted from these transcriptions.)

(looks like Irchester missing from 1861 (I see Rebecca Burial there)

There's this marriage but only 1 female. Could it be that Laura's name has been mistranscribed as Isaac?
