BODICOTE. SUDDEN DEATH OF A FARM LABOURER, C. D. Faulkner, Esq., Coroner for North Oxfordshire, held an inquest the Raker’s Anns Inn, on Thursday morning, touching the death of Michael Calcutt, labourer, who died on Tuesday evening, 13th inst. The deceased had on 22 May 1890 - Banbury Advertiser - Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Says he was about 60 and a native of Barfield St. Basically, he boarded with a Mrs Harriett Savory and worked for Philip Bradshaw. He had previously had a few fainting fits which was put down to having a weak heart. He had been to work, returned home, had tea and went into the garden. At about 8:20pm he said he was going to bed, bent down to remove his shoes and fell forward. He never got up again. Death was attributed to 'heart disease' and the deceased had told people that he thought he would 'go off' in one of those fits.
