trying to discover who parents of james ingham may be, on marriage to ann roberts in 1847 at holy trinity church it says father deceased . James was born approximately 1822 . i know no way to know for certain who father is but just wondered if anyone could look him up on the 1851 census to see if there is a clue as to where he was born. He maybe lived in cheapside, padiahm road area of burnley .Or lowerhouse which was near by .

yes, thats them ,wondering why it says wallasey when edward charles was born in burnley ...mind you ..think they had two edward charles and one died as a baby.

Wallasey is what it says on the transcript - as I said, trying to decipher places of birth from original, but having trouble (with 1851 and 1861 too)

James could say Oldham - written over something else
Ann - ---------- or Higham possibly

so hard to tell... think they were perhaps inghamites. . definately lived in lowerhouse burnley though. will have to perhaps check out the family barcroft was living with in 1861 for clues. thanks :-)
