Hi I am looking for my husbands grandfathers relatives, His name was John Spode Whitehead, I have been told that spode was his natural parents surname and Whitehead was his adoptive parents surname, so for some unusual reason he had both, I dont know if he was adopted by a set of new parents or that one parent remarried and the new partner adopted him if you see what I mean! but either way I am finding it really hard to trace anything beyond his year of birth which is approx 1920, I know he married a Mabel Rose Churchman but thats as far as it goes, so any help would be really appreciated, kind regard Marie |
