I am trying to find out more about my mother, Vera Barton, who was born in Southport, 18.12.1918. Her father was Edward Barton, and her mother Ann Mary (nee Holmes). I understand that the Barton's were originally from Calder Vale in Lancashire. I also know that at the time of my birth, my mother was working in Reigate, Surrey, possibly as a nurse, and that she may well have met my father, George Moir, whilst she was there. I'd be grateful for any information that might relate to either Vera or George, or their respective families. |
