I am looking for any people with the Cole surname from Malta as I am trying to research my family a little. I am the son of Joseph John Cole (1917 - 1982) who married Marie (nee Vella) in 1945 and who had 6 other siblings John (1915 - 1999(?)) married Doris, Godfrey (b. 1921) married Carrie) Walter (b. ??)married Christina, Edwin (b. ??) married Carmelina, Anne (b. ??) married Gontran (I think) and Mary (b. ??) married but name eludes me at the moment. Their father John J. married Annie (Pace) and died on HMS Medway on 30 June 1942. His father was also John and he was married to Carmella, but i know nothing about this John's family. I do know that dad (Joe) had a cousin living in Melbourne Australia therefore his father John had at least one sibling. I would love to know more .. especially about John's father (dad's grandfather) who came to Malta from somewhere in England If anyone can provide me with information, dates etc I would love to hear from him/her.
