The head of the family JOSEPH BOWMAN born 1832 - 1895 originaly came from Glasgow. He married Agnes 1834 - Newcastle, and went on to have the following children Ann 1855 Newcastle John 1857 Brampton Margaret 1861 (married John close) brampton William 1864 Heworth Mary Ann 1866 Heworth
