Find Ancestors

I am happy to do as much work as it takes, but I have run out of ideas for trying to find out what happened to Edith Thain. Any suggestions, however random they might be, gratefully received.

SP doesn't really help either way.

I cannot find any death record for Edith Thain
I have searched SP marriages for any/all Edith Thains after 1913 up until 1950.
I found 3 potential marriages.
By using the married name, together with maiden name of Thain, I located all 3 deaths.
None of these women were anywhere near the correct age!

In that case, Roger will need to obtain credits for Scotlands people

I was in contact with Roger a few months back as Edith's paternal grandfather was brother to my OHs g-grandmother.

Edith was indeed the daughter of William Thain and Isabella Dawson.
They did have 2 daughters, but the other child, Isabella died in childhood, leaving only Edith
( I forgot all about this and never did any research of my own)

Father William died in 1894 and at 1901 Edith was living with another family:1901 Scotland Census about Edith M Thain

When Edith gave birth in Salford in 1913, she was living with the sister of Caroline Mackay from this 1901 return.
It is believed that after the birth, Edith returned to the 1901, Aberdeen address.

Don't know if this message board is still live, but, if so, I too am interested in Thains from Aberdeen. In particular, I am trying to find out what happened to Edith Thain, born 1891 to William and Isabella. She is my grandmother.
