hi I an trying to find out information about my 4xg/grandfather Edward McCarthy who was a dyer and was married to Susan m/s unknown. They had a son John born ca. 1798 in Youghal County Cork who emigrated to Australia in 1838 aboard the Calcutta with his wife Ellen Raleigh (she was a needlewoman) and their children Edward, Eliza and Ellen.
