I am trying to find further information about the family of Thomas Beattie, born Jarrow area about 1872. Parents John and Jane (nee Henderson), ? both from Ireland. Thomas married Mary Jane Yale, nee Smith (a widow), in 1904 and they had one son of their own, John George Purvis Beattie (my grandfather), born the same year. Mary Jane also had children from her previous marriage.
