Trying to trace the Openshaw family from the Liverpool area. My mother's mother was Margaret Openshaw. Her mother had two sisters and a brother - Hilda, Elizabeth and James. Their mother remarried, surname was Arnold. Believe she had two sons from that marriage. Margaret Ann Openshaw married Henry Davies Ambage 1899. Brother Henry Davies died 1919.. My mother is Maud Evelyn Ambage, born 1921. Margaret Ann died 1925. In contact wth the Robatham family Hilda Jane married a Robotham, he was a hairdresser. They had 3 sons. Charles went down in the Hood, he was married and had one child. Thomas believe railway manager, London area. George married Esther Molyneux Elizabeth married surname was Davis. Mr Davis served in WW1, lost one leg. Two sons One went to Liverpool university - died of menegitis One worked for Liverpool Echo, litho / printer - killed Dunkirk Linda Mahon |
