	Interested in the Shaw's or McGilthighnich's of Rothesay, Bute and Isle of Islay Argyll. (believe Shaw is the anglicised name). Have a Duncan McGilthighnich or Shaw who married a Margaret (Kate) Galbreath in Rothesay in 1791. Father is given as Archibald McGilthighnich or Isle of Islay but no mother's details known. They had 12 children:- Jean b 1792, Neil b 1794, Patrick b 1796, Duncan 1 b1798, Sarah b 1799, Margaret b 1802, Mary/Marion b 1804, Duncan 2 b 1807, twins Daniel and Angus b 1809, Catherine b 1812 and Euphemia b 1814 all in Rothesay. Others sharing the McGilthighnich or Shaw name are:- Niel McGilthighnich or Shaw married Janet Leitch William McGilthighnich or Shaw married Janet Brown Cathrine McGilthighnich or Shaw married Angus McKinnish/McInnes? Janet McGilthighnich or Shaw married Patrick McKinnon but what relationship they are to Duncan isn't known. Can't find any birth records for Duncan c 1771 probably on Isle of Islay - nor a marriage for his father Archibald. Many of Duncan's descendants emigrated to Australia/New Zealand.
