Member Since: December 2003 Posts: 12 Send Message	I am trying to trace the descendants of Charles Gordon States and Rebecca (nee Gardiner) States who lived in Khaur, North West Frontier, India until 1947. Charles' children were George, Elizabeth May, Florence Beatrice, Ralph Willingdon and Phyllis Marian - George married a Dorothy Ross and had twins, George & Georgina, Elizabeth married Ralph Smith (known as Cutty), Florence (known as Pussy) married Stanley Traynor and had several children, Ralph (known as Jumbo) married Molly Myers and had two sons, Robin & Ian. Phyllis had four children, Peter Delaney, Christine Smith, Sally Delaney and Christopher States. Christopher & Christine were adopted within the States family - Christine's father was Thomas McGowan. Jumbo States & his family settled in Perth, WA, Thomas McGowan & his family settled in South Australia after leaving India in 1947. Any information on these family members would be greatly appreciated.
