Trying to find Thorington

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

I am researching my grandfathers family. His name was Percy Thorington. He was born in Somerset in 1889.His father was George William Thorington(from Colchester). His mother was Annie Fezzard born 1855 in Stalbridge in Dorset.Their other children were George(born 1877);Beatrice(born1879);Harold(born 1882);Mabel(born1883);Harry(born1884);Alfred(born 1884);Ada (born1885);Ivor Charles(born1887);Alfred(1892) Mother Annie died in 1892 and the family were split up.Percy and Alfred went with their father to Colchester. It is understood that Ivor Charles and Harold were sent to Canada.Mabel continued to live in Stalbridge Dorset with her aunt and uncle,Alfred and Elizabeth Fezzard.Mabel had a son Cecil in 1908/9.He married Winifred Cecilia and they had a daughter Madeline Pearl on 1 September 1945. I have found Beatrice on the 1901 census in Binfield Heath near Henley on Thames. I have already made contact with a new found cousin,Mark from Braintree, who is Alfred's grandson. We have both discoverd 50 living relatives of whom we were previously unaware and would love to be able to find even more. I would be very interested to hear from any one who has links to my Thorington and Fezzard relations in any part of the world, or from anyone who could provide any links. Avril Nottingham
