I would like to hear from anyone in the Cuthbert family who many years ago came from the Govanhill area of Glasgow. Also anyone in the Coley family of I think Stourbridge or Stroud, England. My grandfathers name was George Ethelbert Coley born around 1865/70.

Hi Maria,
I see your post is 10 years old! I'm surprised I didn't come across it before.
I am definitely from the same family. Is your father Jack Cuthbert - I have a photo of him as a little boy.
George Ethelbert Coley is my great-grandfather, and he was born 1875 (I was born 1964). I've got a photo of him too. I lived in Govanhill as a child, now I'm in London, and am planning a trip to Stourbridge for the first time, and hence the reason I was exploring this George again.
I hope you get this - I think we've got loads to tell each other!

Hi Hester and welcome to the boards.
As you say, this posting is very old, and furthermore Maria only ever posted once! (you can see this if you run cursor over her 'picture').
You might try sending a message by clicking on her name, if Genes have her current email address she will be notified.
And try looking for other links - use search box above - and contact members who share the same family.
