WALTER GABRIEL MCKAY was born in 1862 in SOUTHSEA. He married FANNY L DORRINGTON/DURRINGTON and they had a son. WALTER GABRIEL C MCKAY was born in 1899 in SOUTHSEA. Aged 12(approx) WALTER G.C was put into THE PARISH OF PORTSMOUTH CHILDRENS HOME in KINGSTON RD, SOUTHSEA. Then WALTER G C was in WW2 and left all his posessions with his landlady for safekeeping. She was convinced that he would not return and so she disposed of everything he owned. I have recently accuired a copy of Fanny and Walter's marriage certificate which shows us that Walter G C Mckay's grandfather was GABRIEL MCKAY. Gabriel McKay and his wife Eliza Williams had several other children as well as Walter Gabriel; CHARLES HERBERT Mckay, GRACE M Mckay, EVALINE M mckay. GABRIEL MCKAY'S father was THRIFT MCKAY. Please help if you have any information whatsoever which may help me. We would reall really love to know more about these people. Thankyou!
