Huguenots in Hampshire My Fachen / Faichen ancestors seem to have been of Huguenot (or possibly Channel Island) extraction. They were paper-makers, and I have traced them back to the Alton area of Hampshire around 1700. They would possibly have arrived in Southampton from France - has anyone come across the name (various spellings) in the Southampton area in the late 1500's or 1600's ?
