Replying to Peter Jones (18/11/2002 14:53:22) It doesn't make any difference that the information is available from the Family Records office as they have permission to process the data already for specific and notified purposes whereas most of us don't. The only way we are likely to get that permission is to ask the person involved (in legal parlance, the Data Subject). I've noted Stephen's response re. putting some guidance notes on the site for people - that will be very helpful. Ta again. Good luck Stephen in getting a quick response out of Wilmslow! Tom M
