A While ago a Woman put a post up here as she was goingto Scotland and offeref to do research for people, as half of my family are scottish i asked her if she would research my grandparents and here is what she came back with below? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ june/jane lacey b. 31/3/1935 dundee f- james lacey ( rabbit trapper) m- jenny lacey ( dick) james lacey & jenny dick were marriend in gretna green no record of there marriage, you may have to contact gretna green registry. june had 2 sisters, elisabeth ann lacey b. 24/6/1936 at blair atholl, occupation of father was gamekeeper. shelia mary lacey b. 23/10/1939 at ballinluig could not find birth cert. for jenny lacey, but found her death cert. she died on 7/1/1948 aged 33 years at ballinluig, she had pulmonary t.b. for 6 years on death cert. said james lacey was a motor hirer, also on death cert. gave her father as martin dick ( draper) retired, mother anna moir couldn''t find marriage cert. of her parents, makes me think jenny was born elsewhere in uk. marriage- 13/6/1956 kinross john spears stone aged 22 years (gunner r.n.) usual residence-20 ivy st.morpeth northumberland f- thomas stone (miner) m- francis white june lacey aged 21 years wool corder machinist usual residence- 23 wick st kinross. father- james lacey ( motor hirer) mother jenny lacey ( dick) ( dec) found death cert. of martin dick ( formerly sheening) he died 6/9/1957 aged 79 years widower of ann moore his father was james sheening (dec) mother joan mcfarlane afterwards dick she was a book sewer ( dec) don''t know if this ihas any connection with jenny but i thought i would send you this, hope this info will help you ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The only thing is i cant seem to go any firther or find anyone that she has mentioned, i wondered if anyone could help? Any hints, tips or information is welcome! |
