Hi Pen Thanks for all your hard work - sorry I was too eager! I have William Warner and James Warner both down as head of family as below 1851 Living Brook Street Ann Warner (Lace maker) abt 1835 Bozeat, Northamptonshire, England Daughter Bozeat Northamptonshire Frances Warner (Lace maker) abt 1793 Grimscote, Northamptonshire, England Wife Bozeat Northamptonshire James Warner (Ag lab) abt 1815 Bozeat, Northamptonshire, England Head Bozeat Northamptonshire Joseph Warner abt 1842 Bozeat, Northamptonshire, England Son Bozeat Northamptonshire Mary Ann Warner abt 1840 Bozeat, Northamptonshire, England Daughter Bozeat Northamptonshire William Warner abt 1792 Bozeat, Northamptonshire, England Head Bozeat Northamptonshire I am trying to find out which was Mary Ann's father so I guess it might be James because the wife Frances doesn't tie in with William in the 41. Do you think you might be able to find either James or Frances in the 41 census. Thanks again Joanna

There is an IGI entry suggesting his mother is Jean Wilson, who is in that list above. If that is the case then he may be with her in the 1861 census. By that time she had married a James Milne and was living in Turriff at the time of her daughter Isabella being born in 1861. If not, is he still with his grandparents John & Martha? They were still alive at that time. Could I have their census entry anyway? Ta ;-))) Any help you can give me would be great. Thanks very much Donna x

Hi Pen, Just been having a wee forage through the notes I've got. Jean Milne, MS Wilson was born 2/1/1828 From the info I've been given James Milne was born 5/4/1839 in Gamrie, Banffshire, 'fraid I don't know the census dates for 1861 to know if he'd be classed as 21 or 22, then again, as we know from these census, he could be classed as any age. There was a daughter Jane Milne born on 15/8/1859 (as per IGI I seem to recall) in Turriff, however, Jean and James married in Gamrie, Banffshire, so they may be in that neck of the woods. Wee Izzy wasn't born until the October that year. Jean sometimes shows up as Jane but not often. If they are in Banffshire they could be enumerated as anything....I've a Peter McRae missing in action in Banffshire in 1861, when the freebie Ancestry was on I couldn't find him for love nor money, yet he didn't die for umpteen years after. Thanks everso Donna x
