Jane, I have sent off for the Marriage between E M Young & F Lewis in 1866, the 1868 F Lewis Death and if the marriage is correct, The F Lewis Birth from 1847 to give me a rounded picture of his life. Something I was going to ask was, you kindly gave me the 1851 Census with John Young (abt. 1845) living with John Giles and company and at the moment, I am assuming he is the same John Young in 1871 census. Can you do a search for him in 1861? Now, he could be in Wiltshire/Somerset, or Wales following the fortunes of the Terrell Family or he might be still with the Giles Family. He was down as 1845 in the census although he birth could be a year earlier as his parents were married in late 1842 It's a difficult request as we have no one concrete that he would be with but you have mustered up some amazing finds . . . I will order some more certificates and I wil be back later Paul

Jane Many thanks for doing the search but I don't think this is the right one . . . 1861 - High st John Young abt 1792 Bruton, Somerset, England Head Heytesbury Wiltshire TAILOR & GREEN GROCER Jno Young abt 1844 Heytesbury, Wiltshire, England Son Heytesbury Wiltshire LABOURER Elz Young abt 1847 Heytesbury, Wiltshire, England Daughter Heytesbury Wiltshire Arah Young abt 1849 Heytesbury, Wiltshire, England Daughter Heytesbury Wiltshire James Young abt 1851 Heytesbury, Wiltshire, England Son Heytesbury Wiltshire Mary A Young abt 1853 Heytesbury, Wiltshire, England Daughter Heytesbury Wiltshire Because he shouldn't be living with any other Young's i.e sisters or parents as his Dad is in Bristol with his parents and his mum and two sisters are in Risca, Newport disguised as Terrel's The John Young you showed has a Dad, and brothers and sisters and it doesn't look like one of Joel's Brothers family Here is the 1841 census showing Joel, his dad and brothers and sisters 1841 Somerset - High st. Carloline Young abt 1831 Somerset, England Bruton Somerset Elizabeth Young abt 1828 Somerset, England Bruton Somerset Joel Young abt 1821 Somerset, England Bruton Somerset TAILOR Mary Young abt 1791 Somerset, England Bruton Somerset William Young abt 1791 Somerset, England Bruton Somerset AG LAB Can you see if you can find another ??? Hi Jane again, Referring to your reply last Sunday, I believe Richard Marlow's father was William Marlow (b. c1841), but I'm not sure that Ann, his wife in 1881, was Richard's mother. Can you please check against 1861/71 censuses to verify (also 1851 for his parents, if possible). Living in Walsall or nearby Wednesbury. Thanks, Kev

Jane

Jane Report 23 Nov 2006 18:28
