FRAN FROM OZ Hi Fran I think I may have looked for this before for you. I had another look and I think Maybe your william and Sarah married before 1837 so you would need to know where they married and check the parish records. I looked on IGI but nothing on there either. Have you tried their deaths. as the death cert should give parents names Mary

Hi again Mary Thank you for looking for the info. I am putting it here again to save you looking back. Added By Patricia Harper on 07/11/2006 18:30:39 | Update Message | Delete Message Hi Mary Do you have access to the 1930 census Canada? If you do could you please look for Bertha Lines b 1887 in Walsall, Staffordshire England Horatio Lines b. 1889 (could be down as Roland Lines) b England Eric Bernard Lines b 1914 in England Jessie Lines b 1924 England They emigrated to Canada in 1925 landed at Quebec Sailed on the ship Montroyal Reference RG76 - Immigration series C-1-a I do know that in the 1940's they were living in Peterborough, Ontario. Sorry I don't have any more info except they came to England for a visit in the 40's Update I know Jessie was 21 in 1945 and later married a young man (I think called Ken) who emigrated with his family from Walsall. I believe he worked at a radio station in Winnipeg. Jessie had 5 sons. Jessie would have been living in Peterborough ONTARIO at the time of her marriage. Eric married an American girl. For a time Bertha and family lived at 359, Harvey street. Mary all this is very vague and you have enough request already so do not worry or waste your time on this. Thank you Pat

Hi Mary Just read your message wonder if I could add one more! I do not have a lot of info so will understand if you cannot help. My grandmothers first marriage was in 1917 was to a Canadian named Fennisman in Devonport where she lived. I know she went to Canada and had a daughter named Audrey. At some point she and her daughter returned to England and she married my grandfather in 1922. As far as I know Mr Fennisman was in the forces. I have only just found out this information so am thinking of getting a copy of the marraige certificate. Regards Angela

Hi Mary, You looked on my thread the other day with regards to a Colquhoun family, I was looking for them on 1901 census in Dundee, Scotland. I have found the death cert for Robina and Hannah Colquhoun. I have found no trace of Sarah Colquhoun in Scotland. I know she never married and had died by the time her son, Robert, married in 1914. I can't find a death cert for her either. If possible can you check the English records for me. Her full name is Sarah Elizabeth Colquhoun, born in Hutchesonton, Glasgow, dob possibly 19 07 1858. The last record I have for her is living in Dundee, 1891. Thanks very much. Michelle

Hello, I am hoping you can help me. I have become stuck on this. I'm looking for the birth of Mary Linskey around 1858 in Durham. According to census information, Mary may have been born in Thornley or Winalton Durham Also looking for the birth year for two of her daughters: Julia Quirk and Maria Quirk. I think the girls were born about 1883 and 1884, but I do not know which is older. I don't know where in Durham they were born, Perhaps Sacriston. Younger siblings were born in three parts of Durham: Sacriston,Lancaster and Gateshead. Thank you for any help you can offer. Joanne

Hi Mary, Since my message I have been e mailed by someone researching Jane Race and family who tells me that Jane was staying with her grandparents in 1841 (Budds) and was a servant in a different household in 1851. She says she has tried to find John and Hannah Race (Jane's parents )but could not so unless you have come up with them since yesterday I feel at least I know where Jane was even if her parents have vanished. (they were not dead) Thanks so much for all your efforts. Chris

Hi Mary. Thank you for looking for Jane Race and family. I do not have them in 1841. I have just looked on the 1837online site at the 1841 index and could only spot a jane Race age 5 All Saints Northampton. Don't know if this is her or not. As far as I know, John Race was born in Hardingstone Northampton or so it says in the 1881 census where he is 67 widowed and living with a married daughter Elizabeth 29( so she wouldn't be in the 51) census. Apart from that I am stumped. Jane was married by 1855 so the 51 census was my best bet for finding her and family. This is not a lot of help is it? Chris

LYNETTE Iam sorry but Ancestry births start at 1837 I will certainly take a look and see if I can find any record of her before 1871 when she married Your Thomas. But She may have been married before and Neal may not be her maiden name. (Just a thought ) Let me know what you think Mary
