Hi Sally, Please would it be possible for you to look on the 1841, 1851 and 1861 census returns for Devon for Hannah (or it may be Joanna) Dawe b 1796. She will be a widow in all three census returns but should still be living with some of her children as her husband died young. Many thanks Judith

Hi Sally, Many many thanks for your help re the Dawe family. Unfortunately the family you have listed for the 1841 census is the wrong family as my William Dawe had definitely died prior to 1841. I am looking for a Joanna Dawe b 1796 in Blackawton, Devon and she should be living with at least some of her children who were Priscilla b 1830, William Hunt b 1817, Elizabeth b 1820, Samson b 1824, Robert 1822 and Ellen b 1827. If you are successful in locating them please could you tell me where they are living? The 1851 and 1861 census information you sent me is about the family I am researching and I see on the 1851 census you have said they are at Redlap Farm, Kingsbridge but would it be possible for you to tell me where they were were living in 1861? Hi Sally, Can you help find the birthdate of a Mary Linskey (married Quirk) According to census information, Mary may have been born in Thornley or Winalton Durham. I have located her on several census' but Mary's estimated birthdate jumps around a lot, almost 15 years from 1851 to 1864. I believe it is the same Mary as other family members remain the same. My best guestimate is 1858 somewhere in Durham. This is the information about the census after her marriage in case it helps at all: From the census' after her marriage I found that the last name Quirk is sometimes recorded as Cork or Quick. The census information has not been clear and may have been mis recorded ro mis trasnscribed. I believe Mary married Michael Quirk (b 1862) and had children: Maria, Julia, Michael (b1885), James (b 1887, d1892), Martin (b1890), Margaret (b 1893), Winifred (b1896) and Mary (b1897). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Joanne
