Hi Sue, Thank you for your kind offer. I have a Donald Urquhart and Magdelena Urquhart at Methlick in the 1901 Census. Would you mind checking the MIs for them please. I'm not sure when they died. Thank you Lea

Hi Jeannie, Sorry no Fergusons buried in Methlick..plenty in New deer but no James. The only Horne buried in Methlick is a Christina Chapman(nee Horne) Born 23 July 1886-died 12 March 1867 Sue x

Hi Joan, Dont mind you adding to the thread.. I had seen the MIs on-line,thats what prompted me to get the books as they give a lot more detail..i am going to buy some from the FHS in Aberdeen. Did you know Ellon Library has a fantastic family history room with all the census and parish records? sue x

No you dont have to pre-book..I just went to get some books out and asked..the librarian was very helpful..loads of books on the area and the finche reader aswell for looking at the micro films...they have all the census available aswell for the area.. sue x

Melissa, The only Mcboyle for Methlick is Betsy Rennie wife of John Patterson d.Goukstone 31 Oct 1941 aged 42. The above John Patterson d.16 oct 1961 aged 58.His wife JEANNIE B McBOYLE d.31 May 1984 aged 76. For New Deer. In memory of our parents John Mcboyle farmer Oldwhat d.4 March 1885 aged 81 ,his wife Jessie Smith d.25 july 1883 aged 77. Their sons John d.24 June 1850 aged 17,John d. in infancy.Their dau Ann d. 6 Oct 1887 aged 47 Hope these are part of what you are looking for.. Sue x

Hi, Not sure if you have returned them yet - but if not I'd love any Webster and Swanson in New Deer. And Mowat and Porter in Methlick. There may be a lot of Swanson and Mowat ones - they were big families. Thanks, Fiona
