No sorry Annette. The name is definitely Grieveson, I have him on the 1901 and 1891 with his wife and family. Don't worry, he seems to be very elusive. Tricia

Hi, Annette, would you mind looking up HENRY SCHIMP, BORN C1853 / 54, WHITECHAPEL, MIDDLESEX, please ? I have his marraige certificate which states his father as Conard or Conrad. I then sent for a birth certificate only to find the father given as Philip ! If Henry can be located prior to his marraige ( 1878 ), I might determine who his father really was ! Many, many thanks, Donna.

Annette Report 19 May 2006 20:05

TRISH Do you have his parents names?: There are 3 families (surname GRIEVES) on the 1861 living in Northumberland with a son Robert. You can sometimes find a variation in the surname for the same family - I've got one family with 3 different spellings on Censi! Annette
