Hi Lesley, Could you please do a look up in the 1871 census, details known:- Mary Jane Carter born 1859. Father James Carter bn about 1828 ireland Mother Margaret Carter nee Perrin bn about 1839 Pemdleton M/c Address 1861 14 Quay St Manchester ' 1881 Ayre St Salford 1871 should show a :- James Carter bn1865 Elizabeth Carter bn abt 1857 Mary Carter ?? bn 1868 Amelia Carter bn abt 1863 I think Mary Jane mayhave died sometime between 1861 & 1881. Father was House Painter. Thats all I have at the moment, look forward to hearing from you Regards Len- Mancunian in exile

his wife should be sarah anne, born 1860 in reigate, Sheila found a Walter Huggett born in Leigh and Sarah born in Petworth but not sure if thats them now i have had time to look properly,the reason i would like to know who this walter from croydon was living with is becaus we have a few butchers from that era. regards

Hi Lesley, thanks again for your offer. Could you try to find Joseph Smith on the 1851. He would have been about 28 and was a watchmaker. He was born and lived in Coventry, he may have been married by then and his wife was Jane.(lots of Jane's and John's in this family, they are a nightmare to find). Sue

Hello Lesley Could you look in the 1841 census for me for a James Pearson who was baptised at Northallerton.yks on 8th November 1829. and would be 11/12 in that census.I believe he would have been living with some/all of the following William Nelson (Head) (age not known) Wheel wright/joiner Ann Pearson (wife) and siblings Richard 16 years born Northallerton Thomas 24 years born Northallerton william 26 years born Northallerton If you do find them could you please have a look in the later census Thanks Angus.
